SIZES & DESCRIPTIONS

Why do we mostly sell flat pack items?

There are a few reason why our furniture and storage products are supplied as a flat pack kit instead of being assembled:

  • PRICE - a flat packed item is smaller to transport from our manufacturers so we can charge less for the same great product
  • DELIVERY - as the boxes are smaller and easier to handle we can use less expensive courier service which saves you money
  • ENVIRONMENT - not only does the smaller box size mean less packing materials but it also means less CO2 emmisions due to less delivery lorries on the road

 

Sizes and dimensions

All measurements, sizes and storage capacities are approximate and may vary slighty due to production tolerances. We do however try to ensure that they are as accurate as possible. If you have any questions or queries regarding our products please email us at watsonsontheweb@btconnect.com or ask a question on our Contact Us page.  

Our sizes are shown in centimetres.
To convert centimetres to inches simply divide by 2.54

Descriptions

Whilst we hope that our descriptions are comprehensive we are human and can make errors or omit information that you might need. Most of our furniture and storage products are manufactured from the following materials or finishes:

  • Solid Wood - usually from environmentally controlled sources and forests
  • MDF - Medium-density fibreboard - is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down softwood into wood fibres
  • Particle Board - is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood particles, such as wood chips or sawdust
  • Paper Foil - decorative printed covering usually mimicking wood grain
  • PVC Foil - decorative printed, often embossed, covering usually mimicking wood grain
  • Tempered Glass - has increased strength compared with normal glass and will usually shatter into small fragments, rather than sharp shards, when broken
  • Acrylic - a plastic malleable sheeting and a safe alternative to glass
  • Powder Coated - is a type of dry paint coating which is applied as a free-flowing dry powder - usually used for covering metal

Jewellery

All of our jewellery items are hand picked and checked before despatched to ensure the greatest care is taken with these delicate items.
Most of the jewellery that we have chosen for you is highly individual, being made from natural products means that each piece is unique, the use of the precious and semi-precious stones also means that markings will vary slightly from piece to piece and may not exactly match the illustrated images.

We regret that for hygiene reasons earrings for pierced ears are not returnable.

REGISTERING

Do I need to register?

No, It is not necessary to register with us to place an order, however if you wish to check on the status of your order or to save your delivery details for future orders then you will then need to create an account before you purchase on our site - you do this by clicking on the "sign up / login" link at the top of the page - this should take less than a minute.

We do store your information but it is kept on secure servers and we will not email you or send unsolicited mail if you declare when registering that you do not wish to be contacted. Please see our PRIVACY POLICY at the bottom of this page. We will delete your details from our systems if you request us to do so. You can also change your details at any time within the Your Account section.

PLACING AN ORDER

How do I place an order?

The easiest way is on our website at any time of day. Just find the product you want, click the "ADD TO BASKET" button which will be next to the "Quantity" box.

To view your basket either then click the "Shopping Basket" text in the blue box at top right of your screen. You will be directed to the basket area. Once in the basket area you can change the quantity of your purchases or remove an item, you can always continue shopping and add more items until you are ready to proceed to checkout.

13:00 (1pm) is the latest time you can place an order over the internet or with our Sales Team on 01429 852859 for Express / Next Working Day delivery (i.e. Monday-Friday)

Please note orders placed after 13:00 on a Friday, all day on a Saturday, Sunday and during Bank Holidays for Express / Next Day Delivery will be dispatched on the next available working day.

CHANGING AN ORDER

Can I change, add to or cancel an order?

Yes! Just call our Customer Services Department on 01429 852859 and as long as the order has not been despatched we will be happy to help and you will incur no charges. If your order has already been despatched then we will require you to cover any costs that arise such as outgoing and return carriage costs, however we will do everything we can to keep these costs to a minimum and will only ever charge you what we ourselves will be charged by the couriers.

How long will my order take to be delivered?

Most items are delivered in 3-5 working days on standard service, but please allow up to 28 days in case of delay - undue delays will be advised.

We can offer a 'Next Day' and 'Saturday' services if you require your order quickly as long as orders are placed by 13:00 the day before the chosen delivery date.

DIRECT FROM SUPPLIER: most direct deliveries are despatched within 7 working days - please call us on 01429 852859 for additional details

  • Please specify an address at which you will be available to take delivery between 7:30am and 6pm / Mon - Fri
  • We CANNOT guarantee specific times for deliveries and the drivers unfortunately cannot call you to confirm they are on their way - time slots are allocated on the day depending on the drivers route and number of deliveries
  • We CAN deliver on Saturdays for only £13 (not applicable for DIRECT FROM SUPPLIER items)
  • Our couriers will leave a calling card if you are not in when delivery is attempted, they will try neigbouring properties first and then attempt to deliver again on the next working day
  • You can contact the couriers to arrange re-delivery direct with them if you wish or we can do this for you
  • If the box containing your purchase looks damaged when you receive it then please mark as such when you sign for it - or write "unchecked" as this will help us deal with queries if your items are damaged.

Can I have my order delivered to a different address?

Yes! When you place your order you can add a different delivery address. If the billing address is different to your delivery address the invoice will always be sent to your billing address. Please remember your billing address is the address at which your credit / debit card is registered.

All of products come with a 365 day parts guarantee if you can provide proof of purchase.
Please note: The product warranty does not cover paint / surface scratches, cosmetic blemishes or any other normal domestic wear and tear.

 


Do you have spare parts ?

Please note that we can supply spare parts for all of our in stock products and also give technical advice should you be experiencing any difficulties in assembling the product. Please ensure that you have your assembly instructions to hand to identify the correct part number and the "TEC" batch number from the outside of the box (where applicable). Please note that missing parts or breakages MUST be reported within 14 days of the receipt of your order.

How do I hang a wall mounted product ?

NOTE: please make sure you have the correct wall fixings for your type of wall. These can be purchased from any DIY store who will be able to give you professional advice. Wall mounting may be easier with more than one person.

If the wall mounting holes are visible from the front of the unit simply place the item on the wall, making sure the item is level, and mark through the centre of the holes with a pencil. Drill suitable holes for your chosen wall plugs and fix to the wall using your chosen screws.

If the wall mounting holes are not visible from the front there are a few options:

1) Make a paper template of the back of the product, place the template on the wall, making sure it is level, and mark through where the centre of the hanging holes would be with a pencil.

2) Measure the back of the unit and the hanging hole positions. Transfer these measurements to the wall using a pencil and ruler, making sure that they are level.

3) You can add a dot of toothpaste, or similar paste, onto the back of the unit where the hanging holes are. Place the product on the wall, making sure it is level, the paste will mark the wall where you need to drill.

... Then drill suitable holes for your chosen wall plugs, add your chosen screws and hang the unit on the screws.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Cancelling an order

Yes! Just call our Customer Services Department on 01429 852859 and as long as the order has not been despatched we will be happy to help and you will incur no charges. If your order has already been despatched then we will require you to cover any costs that arise such as outgoing and return carriage costs, however we will do everything we can to keep these costs to a minimum and will only ever charge you what we ourselves will be charged by the couriers.

 

How do I return an item ?

If you would like to return the product, please dismantle and package the item back up affixing a completed returns note over the original address label (available HERE to download/print).

 

Non Faulty Items / Change of Mind / Cancellations

In the unlikely event that any item does not meet your expectations you can return it to the postage address below. Orders must be returned unused within 14 days of receipt of your order and within its original packaging. Please do not write on the outer carton - goods must be return in a re-saleable "as new" condition, affix a return sheet, courier label or a sheet of paper containing our address using tape OVER the original address label.

This collection service costs £15 for none faulty or none damaged item (£15 will be deducted from refund upon return). Please confirm the most convenient day for collection (all day window – Monday to Friday only). Once the item is back with our returns department, you’ll then be refunded back to the account you used to pay with.

 

Option 3:

We can send a pre-paid label to your email address whereby you can return the order to any Post Office. Please note, this is only for packages smaller than 120cm x 60cm x 60cm and weighing less than 23kg (if unsure, please ask us to check).This service costs £15 which will be deducted from your refund upon return unless the product is faulty/damaged.

Please ensure that you have your assembly instructions to hand to identify the correct part number/letter and the "TEC" batch number from the outside of the box (where applicable).
