Welcome to the Watsons-on-the-Web site terms and conditions for use.
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website. By ordering goods from you are deemed to have understood and accepted these terms.

Before you place an order, if you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions please contact our customer service team by e-mail on or call us on 01429 852859 between 8:30-17:00 Mon-Thu and 08:30-16:00 Fri. Inbound and outbound calls may be recorded for quality monitoring and training purposes.

We despatch Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). The cutoff time for orders to be despatched same-day is 1pm on each working day. Please see our DELIVERY PAGE for full information.



"Conditions" means these terms and conditions and any other conditions relating to deliveries or services. "Product" means a product displayed for sale on the Website. "Product Description" means that part of the Website where certain terms and conditions in respect of the individual Product are provided. "Users" means the users of the website collectively; "Personal Information" means the details provided by you on registration. "We/Us" means Watsons on the Web. "Website" means the website located at or any subsequent URL which may replace it; "Cookies" means small text files which our website places on your computer's hard drive to store information about your shopping session and to identify your computer. "UK Mainland” means England, Wales, Scotland - not including Scottish Highlands, Islands, Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands which are referred to as “Highlands & Islands”. “You" means a user of this website.


Access – “You” are provided with access to this “Website” in accordance with these “Conditions” and any orders placed by you must be placed strictly in accordance with these “Conditions”.

Privacy - "Cookies" may be placed on the computer used to access this "Website" to identify "You", these "Cookies" will be used only for this purpose, "We" do not store or access this information outside of your browsing session and they do not contain any specific personal information. 

Sharing information with our service providers - We work with partners, suppliers, and agencies so they can process your personal information on our behalf but only where they meet our standards on the processing of data and security. We only share information that allows them to provide their services to us or to facilitate them providing their services to you. For example, we will share your address and telephone number with the delivery companies we use BUT ONLY so they can deliver your order OR if you pay by credit card we will share transaction details with our scheme providers (e.g. Visa or MasterCard) to process your payment.

Registration – “You” guarantee that: The “Personal Information” which you are required to provide when you register as a customer is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects; and  You will notify us immediately of any changes to the “Personal Information” by contacting our Customer Service Team by or call us on 01429 852859. You agree not to impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or a name that you are not authorised to use.

Indemnity – “You” agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the “Conditions” by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this “Website”, or the use by any other person accessing the “Website” using your shopping account and/or your “Personal Information”.

Our rights – “We” reserve the right to: modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this “Website” (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the “Website” and/or change the “Conditions” from time to time, and your continued use of the “Website” (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the “Conditions” have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the “Conditions” then you must immediately stop using the “Website”.


The steps required creating the contract between you and us are as follows:
- “You” place the order for your products on the “Website” by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process. You will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the “Website”.
-  “We” will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products “You” have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from
- As your product is shipped from our warehouse “We” will send you a despatch confirmation email.
- Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between “You” and “Us” will take place on the despatch to “You” of the “Products” ordered unless “We” have notified “You” that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions in Changing an Order
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
- The product you ordered being unavailable from stock.
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- The identification of a pricing or product description error.
- You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions.


Can I change, add to or cancel an order? Yes! Just call our Customer Services Department on 01429 852859 and as long as your order has not been despatched we will be happy to help and “You” will incur no charges. If your order has already been despatched then we will require “You” to cover any costs that arise such as outgoing and return carriage costs, however “We” will do everything we can to keep these costs to a minimum and will only ever charge “You” what “We” ourselves will be charged by the couriers – see FAQ section for more information.


Standard delivery – Most items are despatched on the day of order Monday – Friday if ordered before 13:00. Most items are delivered in 3-4 working days on standard service, but please allow up to 28 days in case of delay - undue delays will be advised. 
Express delivery - The Express delivery service can apply on any order placed before 13:00 Monday – Thursday to UK Mainland addresses. Orders placed on Friday before 13:00 will be delivered on Monday. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Tuesday. The Express delivery service is only available to UK Mainland areas and is subject to stock availability and demand.
DIRECT FROM SUPPLIER: most direct deliveries are despatched within 7 working days - please call us on 01429852859 for additional details

• Please specify an address at which you will be available to take delivery between 8am and 6pm / Mon – Fri.
• “We” CANNOT guarantee specific times for deliveries and the drivers unfortunately cannot call you to confirm they are on their way.
• “We” CAN deliver on Saturdays for only £18 – if order placed before 13:00 on the Friday immediately before.
• Our couriers will leave a calling card if you are not in when delivery is attempted, they will try neighbouring properties first and then attempt to deliver again on the next working day.
• “You” can contact the couriers to arrange free re-delivery direct with them if “You” wish or we can do this for “You”. 
•If the box containing your purchase looks damaged when “You” receive it then please mark as such when “You” sign for it - or write "unchecked" as this will help “Us” deal with queries if your items are damaged.

“We” can supply spare  / replacement parts for most of our products and also give technical advise should “You” be experiencing any problems in assembling the product - please ensure that you have the assembly instructions to hand so you can identify the part number and the outer box for the batch number and call Technical Information on 01429 852859. – Spare part requests for faulty, damaged or missing items upon delivery  must be received within 14 days of the date of  receipt, requests after this time may incur a charge for the postage and packaging. We may require photographic evidence of damaged or faulty part, this is at our discretion. See FAQ section for more information.


“You” may return any item within 7 days of receipt, in a new and unused condition.
Furniture, Garden and Homewares – “We” want “You” to be delighted with your purchase from Watsons-on-the-Web, but in the unlikely event that “You” are unhappy please return your goods within 7 days and indicate whether you want an exchange or refund. (Regrettably self assembly furniture cannot be returned once fully or part assembled - unless the item has an assembly fault) Faulty products will however have the initial & return postage charges reimbursed so please retain proof of postage.  In some cases we may decide that a photograph of faulty items may be sufficient instead of returning the goods, this is at our discretion, goods need to be seen either physically or in photographic form before any refunds can be issued. – See FAQ section for more information. For products requiring installation to the home, any product concerns should be discussed with Watsons-on-the-Web prior to installation, as any costs arising for consequential loss after installation cannot be considered.  
Jewellery - All of our jewellery items are hand picked and checked before despatched to ensure the greatest care is taken with these delicate items. “We” regret that for hygiene reasons earrings for pierced ears are not returnable.


99.9% of the time if a product is on our site it is in stock and available. Most of our products are easy self assembly. All measurements, sizes and storage capacities are approximate and may vary slightly due to production tolerances. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation. “We” do however try to ensure that descriptions and images are as accurate as possible – see FAQ section for more information. Usage - All products are sold on the basis that they are suitable for domestic use only. Please contact us for further information if you intend using any products in a business or public environment.
