Buy wood glue aswell

Had to stop half way into building it, ran out of glue, i would advise buying a 125ml of evo stik wood glue, at same time as buying the shelves, (sell it on here for £2.99) Came in a bigish box that was really heavy and awkward to carry, the shelf is made of chip board or mdf however looks good, ill crack on when i get the glue.

Nice finish

Great n solid. Nice finish. Very annoying stickers on every single shelf (but all exactly the same).

Overall finish product and assembly

Overall I bought two of these for a place to put my books and dvd boxsets. Now firstly the assembly is all about patience and very nik picky.I highly recommend assembling the product on the floor, doing it shelf by shelf, installing from right to left. Its the best and most effective way for end game satisfaction.I recommend having a drill, hammer, a lot of patience and a ice cold beer to balance out the stress.

Not a bad product... but not great

I must be one of the few people with loads of dvds lying about, now that everyone has gone in for streaming. My collection was getting on my nerves and really needed tidying up. Hence the purchase of this item. It’s not a bad product...but not a great one. A few minor tweaks by Watson’s ( a fine old Indonesian name) and it could be a great product. It would also save many of us ‘flat-packers ‘ from tearing our hair out whilst cursing loudly ( no dogs were kicked during the making of this unit).Ok down to business. It looks good once it’s finished. Very neat. Doesn’t take up much space and holds lots of DVDs. It’s flat packed and isn’t too taxing. Lay out all the bits, work through it methodically and you will be fine. I did it myself, but two would be easier. It also gives you someone to swear at , once you find that the dowels haven’t been bashed in far enough, the glue has set, and you then have to cut them down with the junior hacksaw you made in metalwork many years ago. If anything you take from this review, it’s this....hammer home the dowels!! Which brings me to the question of why Watson’s couldn’t have a chap glue in the dowels to the correct length? Maybe they realise that it’s too complicated and the amount of glue provided isn’t enough to repair a broken HB pencil. Buy your own glue before starting!! Is it overpriced? Well what isn’t nowadays. If you need it, you need it.
